The Master of Science (Mathematics) is designed for students with a mathematics or statistics degree or with first-year mathematics, such as a mathematics major in a science or engineering degree.
The course builds on your existing mathematical, statistical, research and professional skills. The degree provides you with further knowledge of mathematics and statistics, and also the social, economic, cultural and environmental impacts of this area in the global community, plus the professional and ethical responsibilities that go along with this understanding.
The coursework has been designed to address topical concerns in industry and society, preparing you for further enrolment in a research degree or employment in one of the many fields actively seeking mathematicians and statisticians.
