The Department of Architectural Engineering is dedicated to cultivating professional engineers who have creative and practical experiences, as well as who can creatively provide human living spaces. To accomplish this purpose, the department emphasizes on a balanced education between fundamental liberal arts and sciences. The graduate program of the department has been accredited by Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea, ABEEK, and also, satisfies the ABET requirements. The department is supported by the Brain Korea 21 plus program, a government-funded graduate school level program.
The curriculum consists of four basic fields of education and research: Architectural Planning and Design, Structural Engineering for Buildings, Building Materials & Construction Engineering, and Architectural Environment Engineering.
