The scope of the animal industry has expanded beyond traditional livestock to include wildlife, aquatic species, laboratory animals, and companion animals. As a result, the field of Animal Science and Biotechnology has evolved into a comprehensive industry that encompasses not only primary production but also secondary and tertiary sectors such as processing and distribution. With the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the integration of ICT, Big data, and Digital Twins has facilitated the development of livestock simulation models that enhance productivity and promote eco-friendly animal farming. The implementation of intelligent livestock systems, incorporating Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, has enabled safer and more efficient livestock production while also improving animal welfare.
Alongside these technological advancements, our Department continues to emphasize traditional research and education in areas such as animal husbandry, reproduction, nutrition, environmental management, processing, and hygiene. We provide hands-on, practical education to ensure that livestock industry professionals can achieve more efficient and stable production management. Our Department actively responds to the changing landscape of the animal industry, striving to cultivate future leaders in the field of Animal Science and Biotechnology. Our esteemed faculty members specialize in key areas such as genetics, breeding, reproduction, nutrition, animal husbandry, environmental science, processing, and hygiene, integrating cutting-edge knowledge and technology into education and research. By incorporating digital livestock systems, precision livestock farming, and biotechnological approaches, we aim to lead the way toward a sustainable future for the livestock industry.
