The Department of Autonomy and Urban Administration is a study center pioneered in Korea and the best organization at which students can enhance and deepen their knowledge of decentralization, local politics, and public administration. The objectives of the department are to rear competent public officers, community leaders, and specialists who can deal with the various demands of citizens and complex and changing local societies, and who can develop theories and scientific methodologies which can be applied in autonomous local administration and in urban administration. The major courses offered by the department are as follows: local autonomy administration, local council, community and region development, local finance, government budgeting, regional economics, urban administration, administration law, local politics, traffic administration, and local autonomy administration practice.
