Consumer Science contributes to the enhancement of consumer welfare by promoting consumer-oriented business activities and national economy through investigating how consumers could rationally allocate resources, make good purchase decision making, and how the society could make educational and institutional plans to train responsible consumers. The Consumer Science Major aims to cultivate consumer professionals that could train competent consumers and create a consumer-oriented market environment.
