Graduate study in The Major of Electronic Materials Engineering is designed to accommodate students from a wide range of backgrounds in science, engineering and technology. The Major offers two degree options for students wishing to pursue graduate study in Materials Science and Engineering:
Master of Science (M.S.) in Materials Science and Engineering
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science and Engineering
The coursework programs are designed specifically for students who have not specialized in materials and wish to improve their level of general knowledge. The research programs are focused specifically on a range of areas in materials fabrication, processing, performance, characterization and analysis. Through both coursework and research programs, students can obtain the fundamental knowledge, practical skills, and professional experience necessary to enter a successful career involving advanced materials.
