This course gives students a unique opportunity to develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills within the context of sport. Additionally, you can attain internationally recognised professional qualifications as an exercise professional and a wide range of coaching qualifications in sports such as GAA, FAI, Athletics, Kayaking, Mountain Biking and Disability Inclusion Training.
The Enterprise elements of the course help students to develop the creativity, innovation and enterprise skills that characterise successful business leaders in sport.
You will also have the opportunity to reinforce academic learning with a number of progressive, professional awards in Exercise and Fitness each year with the potential to gain a QCF Level 4 (NFQ level 6) qualification as a specialist trainer by Year 4. This, combined with modules designed to analyse and improve personal and team performance, makes you immediately employable as a professional practitioner.
