Nurses and midwives are among the most valued members of any community. Midwives play a crucial role caring for mothers and babies throughout the childbearing years.
On completion of the Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery you are eligible to apply for registration as a nurse and midwife – a highly capable individual who is qualified to work in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in general nursing and midwifery practice settings.
The versatility of the nurse and midwife is becoming increasingly important in the provision of Australian and international health services.

This joint qualification will make you highly employable in many practice settings, especially rural and remote areas where multi-skilled practitioners are highly valuable.
As a nursing graduate you will have acquired the knowledge and skills to be a competent beginning-level registered nurse who can provide leadership and care across the age continuum, with the scope to provide care in clinical environments, including acute care, primary health care and health promotion.

All India Senior School Certificate: 80%, Indian School Certificate Examination: 75% and English entry requirements (Level A): Overall score 6.5 for IELTS (Academic), with minimum band scores: Listening 7.0, Reading 7.0, Writing 7.0 and Speaking 7.0

Occupational English Language Test can be used to meet the ANMAC English registration requirement if applicants meet the Monash Standard English Language requirements: Minimum score of B in each of the components (listening, reading, writing and speaking) Under certain conditions these English Language Test requirements may be able to be undertaken over two sittings. Test result accepted for one sitting OR Maximum of 2 test sittings in a 6-month period only if the following 2 requirements are met: 1)Minimum score of B in each component across the two sittings, AND 2)no score in any component of the test is below C AND Achieved the standard Monash English entry requirements. Which includes: A score year 12 English equivalent to VCE 25 in English, or 30 in EAL (or equivalent Monash approved English subject listed on the Undergraduate Entry Requirements Table) OR Holds current APHRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse provided study was in an English medium educational institution equivalent to at least 48 Monash credit points (one year of full-time study) at Australian VET diploma level or higher has been completed
