Accommodation

General Policy Statement:
1. Book online in advance: Each school may has a different booking method, so the accommodation intention should be submitted and replied to CUCAS promptly by applicants. For some school, you may be required to provide login information for the registred personal account after admission, so that the CUCAS can help book. For other school, a deposit or accommodation fee is required at the time of booking, so applicants can book by self; If need help from the CUCAS, the 20% service fee for transferring fee is need be to charged.
2. Arranged by school: Rooms on campus are guaranteed. No need or unavailable to book in advance.
3. First come, first served: Unavailable to book in advance. (1)The room is guaranteed, but the first come may choose the type first. (2) The room is limited.
4. NO on-campus accommodation: Students are required to rent off campus

To get to Changsha University of Science and Technology (CSUST) from the nearest airport, Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX), you can use the Airport Maglev, Metro Line 2, a taxi, or rideshare, with options including direct subway connections or transfers for a relatively short journey from the airport hub into Changsha city, where CSUST is located. 

1. Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX)

This is the primary airport serving Changsha and the most convenient for reaching CSUST. 

2. Travel Options from Airport to CSUST

Airport Maglev & Metro: Take the Airport Maglev Train to Changshanan Station, then transfer to Metro Line 2 towards the city center, getting off near CSUST (e.g., at Changsha Avenue Station).

Metro Only: Take the Metro Line 2 directly from the airport (connecting via shuttle bus from the terminal) towards the city, with stops near the university.

Taxi/Rideshare: A direct taxi or ride-hailing service is available, offering a quicker but potentially more expensive journey directly to the campus.

Airport Shuttle Bus: Buses connect the airport to various points in the city, requiring transfers to reach the university. 

3. Finding CSUST

The university's address is 960 2nd Section, Wanjiali South Road, Changsha. 

Recommendation:

For convenience, the Metro Line 2 offers a good balance of cost and efficiency, connecting directly from the airport area to the university district. Taxis provide door-to-door service if you prefer not to navigate public transport.
