The programme is grounded in the first-level discipline Chemical Engineering (discipline code 081701) and aims to develop students’ advanced theoretical foundations, research capabilities and engineering problem-solving skills in areas such as chemical process design, reaction engineering, separation technologies, process systems analysis, catalysis and clean energy applications. Doctoral candidates undertake rigorous advanced coursework, independent research, laboratory experimentation and publication-oriented work, culminating in a doctoral dissertation that contributes novel insights, technologies or methodologies to the field.
