The PhD programme builds on a strong academic foundation in spatial data acquisition, geodesy, remote sensing (RS), global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), photogrammetry, geographic information systems (GIS) and advanced mapping technologies. Doctoral candidates advance from core theory to frontier research by engaging in independent research, laboratory work, field investigations and dissertation writing under faculty supervision. The curriculum emphasises both theoretical depth and practical competence in addressing complex spatial information challenges, such as intelligent geospatial analysis, high-precision positioning, 3D mapping and applications of surveying and mapping technologies in engineering, urban planning, natural resource management and environmental monitoring.
