The Surveying and Mapping discipline focuses on the science and engineering of acquiring, processing, analyzing and managing spatial information about the Earth’s surface, structures, and environment. It integrates traditional geodetic measurement, modern remote sensing, photogrammetry, GNSS/GPS positioning, geographic information systems (GIS), digital mapping, and spatial data technologies.
