The Master’s in Public Health (MPH) at Jilin University is a 2‑year, full‑time graduate program offered by the School of Public Health that trains students to become skilled professionals in public health practice, health systems, disease prevention and community health improvement. The program is taught in English for international students and integrates coursework, practicum and a master’s thesis to build both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Core areas of study typically include health care management, disease prevention and control, environment and health, and community health and health promotion, preparing students to understand and respond to major public health challenges through evidence‑based approaches and real‑world practice. After completing all required credits and successfully defending their thesis, graduates are awarded a Master of Public Health degree, equipping them for careers in health policy, epidemiology, health education, health systems planning, public health research or roles in government, NGOs and international health organizations. Tuition for the MPH is around RMB 60,000 for the two‑year program (≈RMB 30,000 per year). Scholarships may be available based on academic achievement and need.
