Pre-school Education at Nanjing Normal University is an undergraduate program focused on preparing professionals to work with young children in early childhood settings. The curriculum emphasizes child development theories, early learning and teaching methods, health and safety practices, family and community engagement, and play-based curriculum design. Students learn how to create supportive, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate learning environments for children from birth to around age six. Through a blend of theoretical coursework and practical field experience, including internships in kindergartens or early childhood centers, graduates develop strong pedagogical, observational, and classroom management skills. This program equips students for careers as pre-school teachers, early childhood education coordinators, curriculum developers, and childcare program leaders, and also lays a foundation for advanced study in education and child development.
