Students begin with a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, programming, and engineering fundamentals, and then progress to core robotics subjects such as robot dynamics and control, embedded systems, sensors and actuators, machine perception, artificial intelligence, and autonomous systems design. The curriculum combines theoretical study with hands-on projects, laboratory work, and team-based design challenges that develop practical skills in building and programming robotic systems.
The program emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and system integration, enabling graduates to work across sectors including industrial automation, service and healthcare robotics, autonomous vehicles, human-robot interaction, and smart manufacturing. Students also have opportunities to engage in research, internships, and collaborations with SUSTech’s robotics research groups and Shenzhen’s technology industry ecosystem.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
