The Design Studies program at Wuhan University of Technology is an interdisciplinary undergraduate discipline that equips students with creative thinking, technical skills and a deep understanding of design principles across multiple media and contexts. Grounded in both artistic expression and practical problem-solving, the curriculum typically includes courses in visual communication, industrial and product design, environmental and spatial design, digital media, design theory and history, and user-centred creative processes. Students engage in studio work, hands-on projects, collaborative workshops and industry-oriented assignments that develop their ability to conceptualise, prototype and communicate design solutions that respond to social, cultural and technological needs. By integrating aesthetics, technique and innovation, the program prepares graduates for careers in design practice, creative industries, art direction, user experience and interaction design, branding and visual communication, as well as for further study or research in design and related creative fields.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
