The Energy and Power Engineering program at Wuhan University of Technology is an undergraduate engineering major that focuses on the generation, conversion, distribution and efficient use of energy in industrial and societal systems. The curriculum combines core subjects such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, electrical circuits and energy systems with specialised study in power plant engineering, renewable energy technologies, energy conversion systems, power electronics and smart grid technologies. Through classroom instruction, laboratory experiments and engineering projects, students gain a solid foundation in both theoretical principles and practical applications related to energy production and utilisation, emphasising sustainable solutions and modern technological innovation. Graduates are prepared for careers in energy engineering, power generation and distribution companies, renewable energy firms, industrial energy management, research and development, as well as for further advanced study in energy systems, power engineering and related interdisciplinary fields.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
