The Fluid Mechanics program at Wuhan University of Technology is a specialised engineering discipline that focuses on the behaviour, properties and motion of fluids and the forces acting on them. The curriculum combines fundamental principles of continuum mechanics, fluid statics and dynamics, dimensional analysis, turbulence, boundary layers and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with practical applications in hydraulics, aerodynamics, water resources and energy systems. Through rigorous coursework, laboratory experiments and simulation-based projects, students learn to model and analyse fluid flow phenomena, apply mathematical and numerical methods to solve complex engineering problems, and design efficient systems involving fluid transport and control. Emphasising both theoretical depth and practical problem-solving skills, the program prepares graduates for careers in hydraulic and fluid system design, environmental and civil engineering, energy and power industries, research and development, as well as for advanced study in fluid mechanics and related interdisciplinary fields.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
