The Power Machinery and Engineering program at Wuhan University of Technology is an undergraduate engineering major focused on the design, operation and optimisation of power systems and mechanical equipment used in industrial, energy and transportation sectors. The curriculum blends fundamental courses in mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and materials science with specialised study in power machinery design, internal combustion engines, turbines, compressors, heat transfer systems and energy conversion technology. Students gain both theoretical understanding and practical engineering experience through laboratory work, system modelling and hands-on projects, developing the skills needed to analyse complex machinery performance, improve energy efficiency and solve real-world engineering challenges. Graduates are prepared for careers in power generation, energy systems design, industrial equipment manufacturing, maintenance and technical management, as well as for further study or research in mechanical and energy engineering fields.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
