To enhance and broaden basic knowledge and skill in chemical engineering and technology, and cultivate analytical and critical thinking, logical reasoning, and ability to solve issues in the areas in chemical engineering as well as lifelong learning. To use modern engineering tools, resources and techniques appropriate to the discipline to solve broadly-defined chemical engineering problems systematically and to reach substantiated conclusions. To encourage students to uphold values, attitudes and ideals to remain professional, ethical and humanistic, and at all times adhere to ethical standards and code of practice relevant to the discipline. To develop good teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as socially- and culturally-sensitive to engage effectively with the professional community and society at large. To prepare students with leadership qualities with sufficient knowledge on management, business practices and entrepreneurship to be able to function as an individual, or leaders in diverse technical or non-technical teams.
