In this program you learn a mix of core scientific, chemical and engineering subjects — including organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, medicinal botany, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical analysis and pharmacy administration — along with practical laboratory skills and concepts related to drug formulation, drug characterization, production processes and quality control.
The aim is to develop talent in pharmaceutical formulation, drug analysis, understanding of drug structure and properties, and rational use of medicines, so graduates are equipped for roles in pharmaceutical research and development, production, quality assurance, management, marketing and regulatory affairs in hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, research institutes, and government agencies.
