The Molecular Pharmacology program at Zhengzhou University (ZZU) in Zhengzhou, China is an advanced biomedical postgraduate program offered under the School of Basic Medical Sciences that trains students in the molecular mechanisms of how drugs interact with biological systems at cellular and molecular levels. It is available as a 3-year English-taught Master’s degree (and also as a 4-year doctoral PhD program) designed for international students with a bachelor’s degree, focusing on subjects such as drug action mechanisms, receptor signaling, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics and molecular drug targets, combining theoretical coursework with laboratory-based research and experimental techniques that prepare graduates for careers in pharmacological research, biomedical science, drug discovery, biotechnology or academia. The program builds a strong foundation in understanding how drugs affect cells and organisms at the molecular level and equips students with research, analytical and technical skills relevant to modern pharmacology and therapeutic development.
