This dynamic course cultivates the design creativity, individual style and personal vision of participants while they respond to the rapidly evolving landscape of fashion through a series of project-based activities that reflect different aspects of industry practice. In this way, participants are challenged to develop their thinking about fashion – what it is and what it can become – to realize their full potential, while gaining advanced fashion design skills together with industry preparation. Participants graduate with an understanding of their unique identity as designers and of their position in the fashion industry based on market intelligence.
Fashion Design Womenswear • The course provides participants with an understanding of womenswear and how it has changed in contemporary society. The impact of contemporary design is addressed and questioned by challenging tradition, looking at women’s empowerment and self-awareness, while inspiring creative flair. Participants are encouraged to launch contemporary challenges, share innovative ideas and inspire new trends.
Fashion Design Menswear • The course provides participants with key notions for creating menswear styles and essential tailoring skills for designing high quality collections. Although gender differences are becoming increasingly subtle in fashion, menswear remains a highly attractive sector. Alongside fit, silhouettes and attention to detail, menswear designers need creativity and unique flair to be able to connect with their specific audience.
