The programme provides the student with an Engineering education applied to the medical and biological environment, through deep basic and specialised training in biomedical topics. The educational programme is intended to train students to design equipment, devices, materials, procedures and to develop and manage biomedical technologies in Companies and Health Structures. The peculiar multidisciplinary structure of the programme allows developing a strong knowledge in electronics, informatics, mechanical, chemical, material engineering and it promotes the integration of technical studies with life science disciplines (biology, physiology and medicine). The programme has 5 suggested tracks (besides the possibility to develop a personal study plan): Biomechanics and Biomaterials; Clinical Engineering; Cells, Tissue and Biotechnology; Information Bioengineering, Technologies for Electronics.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements.
It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
Extra Notes
The total annual amount (given by the sum of all contributions due) is divided into 2 instalments (there are no further instalments of the contribution): 1st instalment of 890.04 € (except in cases where the student can request a reduction, pursuant to the Budget Law 2017 as subsequently amended and supplemented - see below); 2nd variable instalment by which the student pays the remaining amount.
The annual all-inclusive contribution is equal to €3,726.00. This amount, however, must be fully paid only by a limited number of students; in most cases, there is the possibility of financial aid that allows to reduce the contribution of a significant amount, as explained below.
In case of withdrawal from studies or transfer to another University for the 2025/2026 academic year, the first instalment is not due. If you decide to withdraw or move after having already paid it, you will also be required to pay any second instalment.
Please note that to submit your Study Plan you must have already paid the first instalment.
*NOTE : The program is eligible for a 100% tuition scholarship and a €9,000 annual stipend.
