The postgraduate programme in "Music and Acoustic Engineering" forms experts and designers who are able to face consolidated as well as emerging technological challenges in the audio, music and acoustics areas:
acoustics: analysis; control; characterization; improvement, optimization and design of musical instruments, of listening environments and vibrational systems in general.
music: analysis; classification; annotation; transcription; organization; modeling and representation; visualization; assistance to composition, orchestration, arrangement and production.
In order to do so, students learn to make synergistic use of a multi-disciplinary knowledge ranging from computer science to telecommunications, from computational acoustics to numerical modeling/analysis, from electroacoustics to vibrational and room acoustics.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements.
It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
Extra Notes
The total annual amount (given by the sum of all contributions due) is divided into 2 instalments (there are no further instalments of the contribution): 1st instalment of 890.04 € (except in cases where the student can request a reduction, pursuant to the Budget Law 2017 as subsequently amended and supplemented - see below); 2nd variable instalment by which the student pays the remaining amount.
The annual all-inclusive contribution is equal to €3,726.00. This amount, however, must be fully paid only by a limited number of students; in most cases, there is the possibility of financial aid that allows to reduce the contribution of a significant amount, as explained below.
In case of withdrawal from studies or transfer to another University for the 2025/2026 academic year, the first instalment is not due. If you decide to withdraw or move after having already paid it, you will also be required to pay any second instalment.
Please note that to submit your Study Plan you must have already paid the first instalment.
*NOTE : The program is eligible for a 100% tuition scholarship and a €9,000 annual stipend.
