Since its establishment in December 1977, the Department of Mathematics has produced more than 1,000 graduates, and most of them are working as math teachers nationwide. Many are active as education experts and university professors. Currently, the faculty of Mathematics Education consists of Professor Son Hong-chan (Mathematics Education), Professor Jeon Young-ju (Mathematics Education), Professor Jeong Seung-jo (Algebra), Professor Jeong Eun-hee (Analysis), Professor Kwon Myeong-gi (Topology), Professor Yum Ji-hun (Complex Analysis), Professor Lee Sang-gun, Professor Kim Yeon-hyung, Professor Cho Yong-hwan, Professor Lee Sang-chul, Professor Park Yeon-hee, and Professor Han Sang-eon.

Along with professors who always teach students passionately and warmly, a total of 80 students (20 students in grade) are living a fun and exciting school life by uniting as one and building affection under the name of "Together in Mathematics Education."

In addition, the student council strive for self-development as future math teachers. The Mathematics Education Department is currently located on the 4th floor of the main building of the College of Education. It has a student council room, a computer room, and a library with more than 2,500 major books where students can gather to work freely and comfortably. There are a dedicated lecture room with cooling and heating facilities, a reading room where you can prepare for appointment, etc., so you can listen to lectures and prepare for the secondary appointment exam in a pleasant environment.
