The major in Environmental Biotechnology focuses on studying and advancing key areas of environmental science to improve the global environment—particularly water, soil, and waste management—with the ultimate goal of enhancing the quality of human life. Students first gain a solid foundation in chemistry, biology, and environmental science, and then proceed to advanced coursework in ecology, environmental toxicology, environmental engineering, and environmental chemistry, all of which combine theoretical and experimental approaches.
