The PhD in Maritime Law is a research-intensive doctoral program designed for advanced study of legal issues related to international shipping, maritime commerce, marine environmental protection, ocean governance, and admiralty law. The program enables students to conduct independent research on complex legal and policy challenges affecting the maritime industry, including international maritime conventions, marine insurance, carriage of goods by sea, maritime safety and security, port regulations, and dispute resolution. Through rigorous legal research, scholarly writing, and academic supervision, candidates develop expertise in analyzing and shaping maritime legal frameworks at national and international levels.
