The PhD in Christian Education at Kosin University is a doctoral-level research program designed for students who wish to develop advanced scholarly and professional expertise in faith-based education. The program integrates theological studies, Christian education theory, educational philosophy, and research methodology, preparing students to critically engage with how Christian faith is taught and practiced in churches, schools, and wider society. Over approximately 3 to 4 years, students complete advanced coursework, comprehensive examinations, and a doctoral dissertation that contributes original research to the field of Christian education. Instruction is primarily in Korean, and admission generally requires a master’s degree in Christian education, theology, or a related discipline. Graduates are well prepared for careers as university or seminary faculty, researchers, church education leaders, curriculum developers, and administrators in Christian schools and ministries.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
