The Hospitality and Tourism Management program is designed to meet the present and future needs of managers, executives and other professionals in the fields of hospitality and tourism. It provides students with both the conceptual and innovative analytical skills necessary for work in the ever changing hospitality & tourism sector. Major courses are hotel management, tourism principles, hotel accounting, hotel & tourism marketing, hospitality information systems, food & beverage management and internship in the hospitality & tourism industry. Graduates work in such areas as international and domestic hotles, casinos, theme parks and eateries. They also work in convention centers, ships, international convention planning, airlines, tourism research and public offices. By remaining in close touch with the public and private sector or organizations the department maintains its position at the leading edge of strategic thinking in the tourism and hospitality field.
