The MA in History at Kyungwoon University is a graduate‑level master’s program offered through the General Graduate School that builds advanced academic skills in the study of history. The aim of the history graduate program is to help students develop a deep understanding of historical knowledge and historical awareness, to systematically master historical theories and methods, and to learn how to analyze and interpret historical evidence in a rigorous scholarly way. This involves advanced coursework in historical theory, research methodology, and specialized topics in Korean, Asian, or world history combined with independent research training under faculty guidance. A key component of the degree is the master’s thesis, which requires students to conduct original research on a historical topic, apply critical analysis, and contribute new insights to the field. Graduates are prepared for careers in academia, research institutions, education, cultural heritage and museum work, government and public policy analysis, or further doctoral study in history or related humanities disciplines.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
