The Korean Language Course at Mokpo National University in South Korea is a structured full-time Korean language program offered by the university’s Institute of International Exchange & Education for international learners and prospective degree students. The course runs on a semester basis (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter), with each semester typically lasting about 10 weeks and totaling 200 hours of instruction per term, held Monday to Friday from about 9:00 AM to 12:50 PM. The curriculum is divided into multiple levels ranging from Basic through Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, allowing students to improve skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing progressively as they advance through the levels. The program also includes Korean culture experience activities, and successful completion helps many students prepare for the TOPIK Korean proficiency test and meet language requirements for undergraduate or graduate study in Korea. Admission is open to learners who have completed at least a high school education, with classes limited to small groups (about 20 students), and tuition and fees applicable each year.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
