The goal of the Clothing and Fashion program is to nurture creative, proactive, and talented fashion specialists for the global fashion business. The program provides a systematic curriculum including fabric development; planning, designing, manufacturing, and marketing for fashion merchandise. Various industry experiences such as field trips, internships, guest speakers, and real world business projects are incorporated into in-class activities.
The Department of Clothing and Fashion offers various courses in fashion design, fashion marketing, clothing construction, textiles, and textile design. Students can concentrate on specific areas of their interest and take double majors or minors in various other programs. Popular double major programs include Business Administration and International Economics & Business. The department has been successful offering one-year global internship experiences in the US apparel and retail companies.
