Electronic engineering is a principal part in the ubiquitous information technology (IT). Thus, the major focuses on producing professional engineers who can adapt well to the rapidly changing global environment with good creativity and leadership. To meet the educational goal, the major is trying to help the students obtain a broad understanding of the key concepts for the basic and advanced fields such as semiconductor devices, sensors and the system, analog and digital circuits, integrated circuits and systems, designs for integrated circuits, microwave engineering and communication, signal processing and communication systems, image processing, optoelectronic devices and the system, control and automation, computer architecture and programming, and other IT-related subjects. The major is also equipped with sufficient research facilities and experimental equipments to improve the quality of education and research. The harmonious education system, which consists of experiments and their simulations with software and theoretical lectures, produces very competitive and creative engineers.
