We believe in developing your voice and your individual creative identities. Our teaching foucses on thinking, developing your skills as a design focused work ready graduate, and understanding your own contexts and place in the design world. Alongside these skills we support the making of your designs through technical experimentation and exploration of processes that may include print, knit, weave, and stitch.
We encourage you to embrace the journey from analogue making to digital production, in keeping with industry needs, but also preserve the muc-needed skills of the handmade maker. Research, communication, and interpreting thinking through drawing and other visual media strengthen your ideas, and the integration of wider contextual studies broaden your knowledge and understanding.
Teaching is a combination of practical workshops, supported experimentation, indivual and group tutorials, lectures and discussion groups and self-led reflective explortations. The tutors are all experienced educators and have individual practices - see profiles more information.
