We welcome over 30,000 students from more than 150 countries to our four friendly campuses: Streatham and St Luke’s in Exeter, Devon, and Penryn and Truro in Cornwall. We’re lucky to have some of the most beautiful, green campuses in the UK, providing plenty of areas to socialise with friends and enjoy green landscapes and outside space. Our Streatham, St Luke’s and Penryn campuses have all received Green Flag Awards for being among the best parks and green spaces in the country. We are passionate about sustainability and we're making big strides to make our campuses even greener, and our target is to be net zero by 2030.

With bars, pubs, clubs, theatres and music venues, at the University of Exeter there is plenty to keep you entertained. You’ll also find world-class sports facilities for beginners and athletes alike. We’re the number one sports university in the south of England and Wales, and we frequently finish top 5 in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) rankings each year.
We offer a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research degrees across 40 subjects, taught by world-leading academics. We were one of the few Russell Group institutions to receive a prestigious triple gold award from the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF 2023), whilst the 2021 Research Excellence Framework review showed that we are doing more research, of better quality, with a bigger impact on the world than ever before. Our world-leading research impact grew more than any other Russell Group university, more than 99% of our research was rated of international quality* and 12 of our subjects were in the Top 10 for world-leading impact.**
We are one of the world’s Top 180 universities according to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2024. We are also Top 20 in the THE Impact Rankings 2023, which measure universities’ overall impact through their work towards meeting the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
