American Sign Language (ASL) is a visual language with unique grammar and syntax. ASL consists of body and facial expressions along with hand shapes, movement and location of signs.

ASL is the third most used language in the United States. Students will also learn about the Deaf community and culture through class lessons and community interactions in Stillwater and other locations in Oklahoma
