As a geospatial specialist, you'll use spatial data for problem-solving that can’t be done with traditional maps and charts. The GSIS program requires a strong mathematics background and analytical skills.

Two state-of-the-art labs provide you with technologies such as Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping, Global Positioning System (GPS) and remote sensing. We prepare you for a training partnership involving faculty and students in Vietnam and a multi-year project aimed at rebuilding Iraq’s GSIS infrastructure.
