Founded in 1868, the University of California- Berkeley (UCB) is the flagship campus and the oldest of all ten campuses of the University of California located in the city of Berkeley. Berkeley is a Northern Californian city on the eastside of San Francisco Bay.
From 10 faculty members and 40 students in 3 fields of study at the beginning, the university has now grown to more than 1,600 faculty and 42,000 students in 130 academic departments and 80 interdisciplinary research units, offering over 350-degree programs. Scholarships
Financing education abroad can be challenging for international students. Over two-thirds of Berkeley undergraduates receive some kind of financial aid. A regular student enrolled in a degree or a certificate program, with a valid Social Security Number is eligible for financial aid at UC Berkeley.
