Rowan University

Based in Glassboro, New Jersey, Rowan University is a public research university with nearly 20,000 students. The university includes a dozen colleges and schools, and also has a medical campus and other academic campuses elsewhere in New Jersey.

Enrollment figures for 2017 show the university has 15,401 undergraduates and 2,045 graduate students. 34 countries are represented among the student body. The admission rate is 53 percent while the average accepted GPA score is 3.46.

Accommodation is provided for students in 12 housing complexes spread across the main campus and consists of a combination of halls, apartments and townhouses. Full-time, non-commuting students are guaranteed accommodation until the end of their sophomore year and are required to live on campus for that period. After your sophomore year, you enter a housing lottery.

As of 2019, student accommodation has reached full capacity so students are offered financial incentives to “triple up” (three people living in a two-person dorm). If you choose to do this, you’ll receive US$1,000 off the annual cost of accommodation as well as free summer housing and a free microwave or fridge rental.
