We educate our engineers to meet the global challenges of the future. You'll learn to engineer energy-efficient buildings using the latest materials. You could help to develop sustainable and resilient infrastructure in developing countries.
What is civil engineering? Civil engineers are responsible for the physical infrastructure that allows society to function. Your studies will cover the three main civil specialisations in structural, water and geotechnical engineering. You will study buildings, highways, railways, tunnels, airports, water supply and wastewater management, power generation facilities and harbour facilities. Your courses will focus on preparing you to design, build and manage these structures and systems as a qualified civil engineer.
Your studies might lead you to design Australia’s first high-speed train network, connecting communities and reducing carbon emissions. You might even build a revolutionary water recycling plant to tackle water security issues.
