The Department of Computer and Information Security program is designed to help students understand the fundamental technologies of computer science and learn all subjects related to information Security. Thus, students will be trained to build and manage information protection systems. The Department of Computer and Information Security has two concentrations: computer science and information Security. The computer science concentration covers theory and practice related to computer systems, including an introduction to computer science, data structures, computer architectures, operating systems, algorithms, databases, computer networks and several programming language courses. In addition, students will be required to study discrete mathematics and cryptography as a part of mathematics, which is the foundation of both computer science and information Security. The information Security concentration covers cryptography, system Security, network Security, software Security and special topics reflecting current issues of information protection. As the information society becomes more sophisticated, increasing side effects are emerging. This results in increased expectations for the demand for information protection technology and related human resources. The Department of Computer and Information Security assures a promising future for its graduates, since it is a cutting-edge department dealing with essential technologies for the stable establishment of the information society. As such, this department will contribute significantly to the nation, socially and technologically.
