There are many different areas of business logistics, and transportation is the core issue of logistics. Entering the 20th century, multimodal transportation began which combined railways, trucks, and ships. In the Fourth Industrial Revolution, there is a shift toward smart logistics to combine multimodal transportation with various scientific technologies. Smart logistics requires talents capable of systematic thinking as well as consilience talents with problem-solving skills. This department brings up talents needed by various business logistics players with a focus on freight management and transportation. Its special focus is to cultivate talents equipped with new logistics technologies(Big Data, artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, blockchain, and Internet of Things) and economics- and business administration-based mindset so that they will meet the smart trend of logistics.
