Those who wish to apply for scholarships must complete the submission of all application materials by 2026 February 28.
Application Eligibility
1. Non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health;
2. Outstanding academic background;
3. Age Requirements:
l Applicants for Master's degree programs must hold a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35.
l Applicants for Doctoral degree programs must hold a master's degree and be under the age of 40.
4. Language Proficiency Requirements:
l For Chinese-taught Programs: Applicants must meet the following Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) score requirements. Those without the required HSK certificate must undertake 1-2 years of Chinese language preparatory courses and obtain a qualified certificate before commencing major studies.
(1) Programs in Literature, History, Philosophy: HSK Level 5 score 180 or above.
(2) Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages: HSK Level 5 score 210 or above, and HSKK Intermediate score 60 or above.
(3) Other programs: HSK Level 4 score 210 or above.
(4) If the medium of instruction for the applicant's previous degree was Chinese, HSK scores are not required.
l For English-taught Programs: IELTS 5.5 or above, TOEFL 80 or above, or other proof of English proficiency. Exempted for native English speakers.
5. Academic Performance Requirements:
A minimum average score for the highest degree obtained equivalent to 3.0/4.0, 3.75/5.0, or 75%, according to different grading systems.
