The LL.M. (Master of Laws) program at Kyushu University is a two-year postgraduate degree offered by the Graduate School of Law that is designed to provide advanced academic and professional training in legal theory, international law, comparative law, business law, and public policy within a global context. The curriculum combines specialised legal coursework with research-oriented seminars in areas such as international economic law, intellectual property law, environmental law, corporate governance, dispute resolution, and human rights law, enabling students to develop critical legal analysis, policy evaluation, and research skills. Emphasising independent research under academic supervision, students are required to complete a Master’s thesis that contributes to legal scholarship and practice, preparing graduates for careers in legal consultancy, international organisations, judiciary services, academia, and corporate legal departments.
