The Theory and New Technology of Electrical Engineering program at Wuhan University of Technology is an advanced undergraduate/graduate-oriented engineering discipline that focuses on both the foundational theories of electrical engineering and emerging technologies shaping the future of the field. The curriculum combines core principles such as electromagnetic field theory, circuit analysis, power systems, control theory and signal processing with specialised study in smart grids, renewable energy systems, power electronics, energy storage technologies, electrical drives and intelligent electrical systems. Through rigorous coursework, laboratory experiments and research-oriented projects, students gain a deep understanding of how electrical systems operate, how to model and analyse complex electrical phenomena, and how to apply cutting-edge technologies to real-world energy and power engineering challenges. Graduates are prepared for careers in power generation and distribution, energy systems design, electrical equipment development, research and innovation, as well as for further advanced study and research in electrical engineering and related interdisciplinary fields.
NOTE: The university may have additional program-specific eligibility requirements. It is recommended to verify these on the official university website.
