The Postgraduate Program in Aviation Engineering at Széchenyi István University is an English-taught, industry-oriented program designed to provide advanced knowledge and practical training in aircraft operations, aviation systems, and engineering applications. Developed in cooperation with industry partners such as airlines, the program combines theoretical studies in aerodynamics, aircraft systems, aviation safety, and regulations with extensive hands-on training, including simulator-based learning and real flight experience. The curriculum prepares students to understand aircraft operation, maintenance, and air transport systems while meeting international aviation standards. Graduates gain the technical and operational expertise required to work in aviation engineering roles or progress toward professional pilot or aviation specialist careers.

Bachelor's Degree (A Bachelor’s degree (formerly: college-level education) in one of the following fields: Transport Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Military and Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Informatics, Mechatronics Engineering, Management Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Environmental Engineering, or Agricultural and Food Industry Mechanical Engineering) with minimum 60% in a relevant field from a recognised University.
Remarks
In case the student has completed his/her previous level of studies in English, proof can be uploaded about the fact that the language of instruction was English, issued by the institution. If the uploaded document(s) do(es) not meet the above-mentioned requirements, the University relies on an online language interview. A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate in accordance with Subpart MED of Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council, concerning the technical requirements and administrative procedures related to civil aviation. Deadline to complete the tuition fee payment: 15 July 2026. Deadline for requests of a full refund: before the enrolment deadline. According to the planned timetable of the 2026/27 academic year, provisionally 28 August 2026. (Finalisation of the date is expected in March 2026.)
