The MIS major combines computer science, business, and management information systems courses to equip MIS majors with the skills to help businesses make informed decisions, improve operational efficiency and ensure data security.
The MIS curriculum at the Lerner College utilizes cutting-edge technologies to enrich classroom learning and impart the skills essential for success in the global market. Students cultivate a unique tool kit, spanning business and technology, enabling them to effectively communicate their findings to audiences with less technical expertise.
All MIS majors select a professional concentration in accounting, economics, finance, hospitality, management, marketing or operations management. During their senior year, they work in teams with clients to solve a real-world business technology problem and implement a solution.
