Academic Eligibility: The Master of Engineering is offered as either a 2-year or 3-year program, depending upon prior qualifications of students.1. Prior qualification: An engineering degree from the University of Melbourne (2 years)If students hold one of the following engineering pathway degrees from the University of Melbourne, with a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%), they will be eligible to enter the 2-year program:
  • Bachelor of Design with a Mechanical Systems major
  • Bachelor of Science with a Mechanical Systems major
2. Prior qualification: An engineering degree or major (2 years)If Students hold an engineering degree or major in an equivalent specialization they may be eligible to receive credit for up to one year and enter the 2-year program. 3. Prior qualification: Any undergraduate degree (3 years)Students will be eligible to enter the 3-year program if they hold an undergraduate degree with:
  • The equivalent of 25 points (two subjects) of first-year mathematics, specifically Calculus 2 and Linear Algebra, or equivalent.
  • The equivalent of 25 points of Physics, or equivalent
  • With a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%), or equivalent. 
Work Experience Eligibility:
  • Students do not require any kind of work experience for this particular program.
  • If students have any work experience then the chances of accepting the applications are more. 
Submission of GRE scores is not compulsory for this program, however, it is recommended to submit a minimum GRE-300 for better a chance of admission.
