  • MEng in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto offers as a 2-years (3 sessions) program.
  • This course is offered on a full-time or part-time basis also.
  • In this course, the Master of Engineering (MEng) is a course-based degree program.
  • Qualified students are accepted for advanced studies in one of the following fields:
    • Building Engineering

  • The research conducted in the Department of Civil and Mineral Engineering is addressing the need for innovative solutions to society’s needs, from the deep underground to the world’s tallest structures.
  • The MEng program is designed to provide professional training beyond the undergraduate level and to accelerate careers with specialized engineering expertise needed in business, government, and industry.

Academic Eligibility:
  • A bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, with a final-year average of at least mid-B from a recognized university.
  • Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.00/4.00 which is equal to 7.0/10 to 7.4/10 CGPA or 75%
  • Completion of 4.5 graduate full-course equivalents (FCEs) in Civil Engineering.
  • Competitive admission averages are typically near or above 80% (A–).
  • students must complete a minimum of 2.5 full-course equivalents (FCEs) (five half courses).
  • Applicants from universities outside Canada where English is not the primary language of instruction must provide results of an English language proficiency examination as part of their application.
  • Tests must have been taken within the last 24 months at the time of submission of their application.
  • Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and GRE to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility: Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
  • Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
  • Completed a master degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
